Primary Responsibilities:

  • Data Gathering, CAD Model Preparation and Optimisation:
    • Visit sites to collect, measure, and record all relevant information required for preparing drawings, records, and cost estimates.
    • Proficiently create and optimize 2D and 3D models to meet all structural and design requirements (SOP).
    • Assist the Lead Head in optimizing design materials and comparing alternative methods efficiently.
  • Resource Management:
    • Suggest and advise on methods to minimise resource waste.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Communicate regularly with all stakeholders throughout the design process.
    • Collaborate with the engineering and construction teams to ensure design feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
  • Inventory and Production Management:
    • Assist the Lead Head in upholding an effective inventory management system.
    • Help monitor and analyse production schedules according to the best practices of B&B Construction Ltd.
  • Inspection and Verification:
    • Inspect the production line and workstations to verify that production follows the data represented by the plans.
    • Follow up on assigned tasks to ensure implementation as planned and take remedial actions as necessary.
  • Cost Control:
    • Assist the Lead Technical Officer with production time analysis and resource utilisation analysis.
  • Quality Control:
    • Ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards, including:
      • Steel assembly of elements
      • Dimensional checks
      • Visual inspections
      • Surface defect identification
    • Contribute to QA/QC processes, addressing common problems and corrective actions.
    • Propose possible improvements to enhance quality.
  • Health and Safety Compliance:
    • Assist in ensuring that production meets H&S and ISO standard procedures.
  • Policy Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with the company’s management policies and procedures.
  • Client Feedback:
    • Assist the Lead Technical Officer in obtaining and analysing client feedback on products.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management, adhering to best practice standards.

  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to stay current with industry trends and best practices.
  • Attend industry conferences and workshops to enhance knowledge and network with professionals in the field.
