Forklift Operator
B&B Construction Ltd. is seeking a reliable and experienced Forklift Operator to support the Production Department by ensuring the safe handling, movement, and storage of materials and equipment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining efficient workflow operations while adhering to company safety standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload goods, materials, and equipment from vehicles, storage areas, and production facilities.
- Transport raw materials and finished products to designated production workstations in a timely manner.
- Stack, organise, and store materials in accordance with inventory control procedures and storage guidelines.
- Always operate forklifts and related equipment safely and efficiently.
- Conduct routine inspections of forklift equipment and report any mechanical faults or maintenance requirements.
- Ensure forklifts are properly maintained, clean, and in safe working condition.
- Remove waste materials and attachments as required to maintain operational efficiency.
- Follow company health and safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free working environment.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities related to the position as may be assigned by management.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification.
- Minimum of one (2) years proven experience operating forklifts in an industrial or production environment.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced and diverse working environment.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
