Mason
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mason to join our growing construction team in Malta. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and enjoys working on a variety of construction projects.
As a Mason, you will work with both modern power tools and traditional hand tools, interpret technical drawings, and contribute to the successful completion of projects while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and lay stone and other masonry materials.
- Perform steel fixing and shuttering works.
- Mix construction material as required on site.
- Cut, shape, and dress construction materials accurately.
- Lift, carry, and position prepared blocks and materials.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate with site teams and other construction professionals to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Skills & Competencies
- Ability to safely operate construction equipment, power tools, and hand tools.
- Strong knowledge of masonry techniques and construction practices.
- Experience in steel fixing and shuttering.
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings.
- Good understanding of site health and safety procedures.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting and carrying heavy materials.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Requirements
- Minimum 24 months of relevant work experience as a Mason.
- Proven experience in steel fixing.
- Proven experience in shuttering.
- Ability to communicate in English.
- A valid driving licence is considered an advantage.
- Candidates must currently be residing in Malta.
